But its how I really honestly feel. I'll start by saying this: There is a method for finding out what is good for you versus what is bad for you called "Kinesiological testing." I believe in it. I think its easy to trick yourself with it, so its not foolproof, but if you do it right its accurate and the basic premise is this:

Things that are good for you make you feel strong and things that are bad for you make you feel weak.

Its that simple. Its really good to be aware of this when making decisions. Its good with relationships too. And its possible to get really out of touch with this, to your own detriment.

If I spend all day drawing or sculpting I feel great. I feel really alive. Same as if I spend all day hiking or canoeing out in the wilderness. Also going to a party and having interesting conversations with people leaves me feeling great as well.

But after I spend a long time either playing a video game or being online I always feel like shit. And not only that, if I am in the woods for a week and not online, when I come back and go online, I feel a little warning feeling, like "this is going to be icky. don't do it."

But I do it anyway. Because its like an addiction. Now you might say "Oh its different strokes for different folks, the internet might not be good for you but for other people its really nourishing."

I don't know about that. I think maybe there is some truth to it, or maybe not. I mean lots of people are addicted to meth or crack and I think it would be hard to make the case that its only bad for some people. But then again, there are lots of different kinds of addictions like food and sex that are in and of themselves good things, but for some people become addictions.

But anyway, for me its an energy sink. Somehow drawing or sculpting energizes me, even though I put a lot of energy into it, but somehow I get more back. But being online sucks my energy.

It starts out being about me just doing research in order to satisfy my seemingly insatiable curiosity and also the desire to connect with people that have my same interests. So that is primarily why I use the internet. And I have been able to connect with interesting people and have had many inspiring conversations.

Those are good things. So what about it makes me feel icky? I don't know exactly what it is it just does.

I really do think its related to what I said in the previous post, its about mineral intelligence using human consciousness as an energy source. There is some type of parasitism going on. We are being drawn into this network and hoodwinked into expressing more and more of our being electronically. I don't think it serves us. I think the cost benefit analysis does not come out in our favor. I mean "us" as human beings. Flesh blood and spirit.

It makes me sick. It makes me feel icky. So I can't do it. That's why I deleted my blogs. Its nothing against anybody I have connected with, its the medium. The meduim makes me feel sick. The medium is the massage. Its a massage that makes me feel icky, like some creepy person sneaks up behind me and gives me a back rub that makes me feel repulsed.

So why go back? After deleting my blogs, I freed up time and space in my life that opened up ways of expressing my creativity that has led to face to face connections with people, and real opportunities that are improving my quality of life and actual fulfillment.

So I am going back to what I said originally, when I deleted Free Range Organic Human. I want to focus on art and putting it online only to say "I am having this show, this is the address, here is the website for the gallery. I wrote this article, this book, here it is on Amazon." That's all.

Ubiquity

OK, this is in response to Ian's blog post.

Here is what is going on: All this stuff may have already happened. All these implications of ubiquitous computing, ubiquitous surveillance, all this stuff Tim is going on about etc.

First of all technologically it may have been done by aliens on other planets that visit and observe life on Earth. It may have been done by by earlier civilizations that have lived on planet Earth that exist here in another dimension.

But even more to the point- all this psi phenomenon goes on all the time with regular human beings. Consciousness is a field. We all interact with each other and with our environment on this field, away from the location of our bodies all the time. Consciousness is already totally ubiquitous.

Also we share the planet with plants and animals and minerals that are permeated with this same field of consciousness, but at different levels.

For example vegetables and minerals are conscious, but not really in the same way we are. At times we may be more vegetable or mineral like. There is a sense of levels of a hierarchy of consciousness, Minerals being lower than plants which in turn are lower than animals which are lower than humans. We can speculate as to what is higher than we are, angels, space aliens...But I think its safe to say some people are higher than others, like for example a legit guru or avatar.

Technology is a just a tool. I am sure there is emergent phenomena going on and collective intelligences being formed through networks that behave like an AI. But at the same time its good not to get away from the fact that technology is just a tool and that tools don't really do anything by themselves for the most part. Tools need consciousness to run from garden hoes to 747's. Most tools are at the mineral level. Even a computer is at the mineral level.

I think a lot of dogmatic materialists, caught up in the philosophical error of scientism, the people Ken Wilbur calls "niave materialists" The kind of people that really viscerally hate the work of people like Rupert Sheldrake-People in that camp probably think technology is doing all this stuff for the first time. A lot of these people have contributions to make, in their respective fields, so we read them for that, and its easy to kind of fall into the trap of their line of thinking. In submitting ourselves to their paradigm, for the sake of learning, its easy to loose track for a second.

I guess I can only speak for myself, but anyway, I'm an alchemist and an animist. I am pretty seriously fucking persuaded anyway. And its a joke really how incompatible, having the assumption that consciousness is all pervading versus the assumption that consciousness doesn't exist. This idea that there is no free will and that everything is mechanistic and that there is never any observer that needs to be taken into account, not even in light of quantum physics. And there are actual, real life quantum physicists working in the field today that will tell you that. Because they have already explained consciousness away, they have worked the bare minimum of the implications of the observation effect into the system and they still have their nineteenth century paradigm intact. And they are moving on and they aren't really concerned with any convergence between quantum physics and Eastern Mysticism and other spiritual traditions. They don't see it.

That's what rhubarb was all about with the "fake Speedbird" cellphone dude.

Most of these people are technophiles. They don't see any "ghost in the machine." But they are as impressed as hell with the machine. I am not so impressed with the machine, I am only impressed insofar as the machine reveals the ghost. And to me, whats being revealed is that rather than a ghost in a machine its a bunch of machines creating little reference points inside this enormous all pervading ghost.

But to a dogmatic materialist, Ubiquitous computing is awesome! Finally the triumph of man over nature, the conquest of not merely nature but time and space! Time and space can be transcended through technology! For the FIST TIME in the history of the Universe!

Now that's progress!

I say pshaww!

People transcend time and space everyday, through consciousness. Consciousness transcends time and space already and we partake of that field.

So now we have telephone telepathy and e-mail telepathy, wheras before we just had to settle for regular telepathy.

That's an example of the machine revealing the ghost. I think that is what Tim is getting at with reference points. Its good to have a flag to locate things in time and space, because consciousness is non local, but the place we are projected into the hologram is not, its on some type of grid or whatever.

So you need reference points, you need a context. I mean its only so much aether we are dealing with, this intangible "stuff" we are made of. This spirit.

I think the most technology can do is provide context and reference points, maps and other types of tools.

When I was on this Ahriman kick, I was approaching this from a different angle. But anyway, think of the mineral kingdom wanting to take over human consciousness. I think there is some of that going on. It may be one of those things were its easy to fall into mindset where you fear evil will overcome good. But then you realize that's as silly as thinking night will overcome day or that the sea will overcome the land. But still though, to some degree this can actually happen. For example, if you were caught in nuclear winter, or even a serious flood caused by global warming that would be partly true. For a while anyway, until balance was restored.

In a way, I think guys like Shermer, Dawkins they have a mineralistic mindset. In a sense they are posessed by the mineral kingdom. They have become advocates of steel wires, silicon and electricity and that kind of stuff. Its like they are posessesed by these elemental spirits or devas. They don't understand consciousness and may sincerely not be able to percieve it or know what the hell everyone is talking about. Because rocks can't operate at our level or they wouldn't be rocks.

And they are still pretty smart, These people. So for them, this is their only chance to have many of the qualities more advanced conscious beings possess. But they can only possess it through technology, because they can't do it otherwise. They think too much like a rock. Or maybe they are conscious, as conscious as everyone else, but can't bring themselves to admit it. So they trick themselves.

In the matrix movie all the humans were batteries, because in reality all tools run on consciousness. Its not so much that people needed to be batteries but that consciouness was the battery and we have a sophisticated interface with it.

Freedom on the March

Freedom on the March

Great Now that freedom is on the march and democracy is spreading lets get together with all the other nuclear powers and start getting rid of nuclear weapons!!!!

I'd be willing to bet if put to a vote most people in the wold would prefer to live in a world without nuclear weapons.
